KIRA Unveils Her 6th Album "12"

KIRA, a key figure in the R&B and reggae scene for 11 years, marks her grand return with the release of her sixth studio album titled “12” (Twelve). Available worldwide since March 23, 2026, under the label GIFTED CHILD’S CRIB, this record arrives three years after her previous project and confirms the unique place of the Osaka-born singer in today’s musical landscape.

12, A Deeply Personal Project

The album “12” is a work of profound emotional weight. KIRA dedicated it entirely to her mother, making maternal love the guiding thread of her compositions. Beyond this tribute, the album explores universal and powerful themes such as self-love and self-confidence, reflecting the maturity the artist has gained over a decade-long career. Recognised for her fluid voice and keen sense of melody, KIRA offers here a sonically rich palette, moving with ease between several musical worlds: emotional R&B and urban, mellow textures; sensual Latin sounds and refined pop; hard-hitting hip-hop rhythms and reggae/soul influences. The album’s visual aesthetic, as illustrated in the press kit, blends passion and elegance, showing the artist surrounded by red rose petals and candles, or sporting sophisticated looks.

To enrich this 6th album, KIRA has surrounded herself with distinguished guests who bring an international collaborative dimension to the project. Notable contributions include HISATOMI and sndy on the track “Paradise”, as well as a standout collaboration with Japanese hip-hop legend Mummy-D on “Omotenashi“.
