Bark, former member of BAD HOP, announces his first solo concert. The date is October 11, at CLUB CITTA’ in Kawasaki, the venue his group played countless times over a decade, in the city where he grew up. The announcement lands two weeks after the release of his mixtape Bling 2 Tape on June 15. A club tour of more than ten dates backs the project, kicking off in Tsuchiura on July 11 before working its way from Hokkaido down through Kyushu and Okinawa.
The CLUB CITTA’ show marks a shift for Bark. The group played there repeatedly over the years, but this is the first time he headlines it alone. Doors open at 6 PM; the show starts at 7 PM. The fast pass costs 7,980 yen; standard standing tickets cost 5,980 yen; drinks and service fees are not included. Tickets have been on sale since June 19, and according to the promoters, only a few remain. Bling 2 Tape leans back into the mixtape aesthetic Bark came up on: glossy, south-leaning production built to carry his low, instantly recognizable voice. The project features 16 tracks and brings together the largest guest list of any Bark solo project since BAD HOP disbanded.
COBE J and Money Jack, already featured on lead single “Aqua-Line“, stay on board. They’re joined by JP THE WAVY, Deech, Jin Dogg, Lunv Loyal, MIKADO, Candee, and Watson, names that carry real weight in Japanese rap right now. None of them had appeared on a Bark solo project before. The list says something about the network he’s built since BAD HOP ended in 2024, reaching well past the group’s old circle. The tracklist mixes the singles that have carried his solo run since the start of the year (“Light it Up,” produced by Galaxy, “Sunday to Monday”) with features built as the project’s centerpieces: “Members Only” with Deech, “Business Is Business” with Jin Dogg, “P.O.P” with Lunv Loyal and MIKADO. Merch tied to the tour is in the works, though no details yet.
For Bark, born Yuki Hinohara in 1995 in Kawasaki’s Ikegami district, this solo show closes a loop. BAD HOP disbanded at the Tokyo Dome in February 2024, after a decade built without a label or agency, with eight guys from the same neighborhood. Bark held a specific place in that lineup: the deepest voice in the crew, less in the spotlight than T-Pablow or YZERR, but unmistakable from the first bar. Since then, he’s moved fast. A debut solo album, South Side Story, in 2025. Group dates at Toyosu PIT and K-Arena Yokohama this summer. And now this solo show at CLUB CITTA’, the room his group filled so many times. Walking back onto that stage alone, in his own city, says as much about how far he’s come as any interview could.
