Masato Hayashi releases “暴走東京” (Bōsō Tokyo), the lead single from his upcoming album. The track dropped on July 4; the release party happens tonight in Shibuya. Masato Hayashi finished as runner-up on RAPSTAR 2025, the ABEMA rap audition show that drew 6,780 applicants this season. In six months, he’s turned that second place into real momentum: “HIROYUKI,” his finale track, crossed 3 million views on YouTube, and “Ain’t No Love” hit number one on the YouTube Hype chart. In March, a guerrilla show in Shibuya shut down after nine minutes for safety reasons, the street filling up faster than anyone expected.
“Bōsō Tokyo” is the opening track from his debut album, due late August. The title carries its meaning plainly: “暴走” means a runaway, something accelerating past the point of control. Masato Hayashi frames the whole record around that image, a way of writing about accumulated anger and what he did with it. The video reinforces that register: Tokyo streets, sharp editing, no artificial backdrop. The release party tonight at Shibuya NEVERLAND is capped at 200 people. The video will play on Shibuya’s large outdoor screens at the same time. Masato Hayashi also plans a surprise appearance in the area to hand out a limited number of “Bōsō Tokyo” T-shirts. His official TikTok account launches in parallel. The bigger date is already set: a solo show at Zepp Shinjuku on September 23, the largest of his career, with the full album in hand.
