Masato Hayashi has built momentum fast. His “HIROYUKI” music video, performed during RAPSTAR 2025, has passed 3 million views, and “Ain’t No Love” hit number one on YouTube’s Hype Ranking. Every release lands attention. In March 2026, he ran a guerrilla live show in Shibuya. The crowd showed up so fast that organizers shut it down after nine minutes for safety reasons, but the singalong that broke out in those nine minutes was its own kind of statement. Clips spread across social media afterward, confirming what he already does as a live performer: pull a crowd in fast.
The new single, “暴走東京” (Bōsō Tokyo), drops July 1, 2026. It’s built around the conflict, anger, and release Hayashi has carried with him, and the title itself, “rampage” or “going rogue,” reflects how he’s pushed against convention and stuck to rigidity to carve his own path. To mark the release, Hayashi is taking over Shibuya. The street’s main video screens will play the “暴走東京” (Bōsō Tokyo) music video, and Hayashi himself will make a guerrilla appearance somewhere in the neighborhood, handing out limited-edition “暴走東京” (Bōsō Tokyo) T-shirts you can’t get anywhere else.
A release party follows on July 5 at NEVERLAND in Shibuya, with a cap of 200 people. The single gets its first live performance there. The event also includes a participatory segment: attendees write down things they can’t usually say out loud, unfinished dreams, frustrations, and regrets onto flags as a way of letting it out. It’s a direct extension of what the single is about.
