On June 3, 2026, delmontestudio releases EN, his very first album under his own name. This is a major event for the Japanese hip-hop scene. For over twenty years, this sound engineer and owner of DELMONTE STUDIO in Shibuya has worked behind the scenes. He shapes sounds, refines voices, and breathes life into other people’s projects. His name is known to every artist in the industry. Yet he had never put his own music in the spotlight.

Over the years, he has collaborated with countless rappers from the Tokyo scene. He has produced, recorded, and mixed for both major and independent artists. But it is with ISH-ONE that the relationship runs deepest. The two men share a rare artistic chemistry, built over years of working together and a deeply aligned musical vision. Together, they notably formed the production unit TEAM2MVCH, and ISH-ONE appears on this album.

Who is delmontestudio?

delmontestudio was born in 1978 in Tokyo. He began his career as a DJ in 1996. For years, he performed in clubs and organized events throughout the Japanese capital. In 2006, he made his major debut in the music world under the name ASTRO, signed to BMG JAPAN. In 2012, he opened his own studio in Shibuya: DELMONTE STUDIO. For over 20 years, he has worked behind the scenes. He has collaborated with more than 300 artists. He produces over 800 tracks per year. His “ALL IN ONE” approach — composition, recording, mixing, and mastering as a single creative process — is recognized throughout the industry. Among his most well-known productions are NEW MONEY by ISH-ONE, My Chicks by S7ICKCHICKs, and Cho Wavy De Gomenne by JP THE WAVY.
