SIMI LAB prepares to release their two seminal albums on vinyl for the very first time. Formed in 2011 in Sagamihara, Kanagawa, SIMI LAB quickly rose to prominence following the viral success of their “Walk Man” music video. Now, their two most celebrated works are receiving the high-quality analog treatment they deserve.

Page 1: ANATOMY OF INSANE – A Pure Debut

Originally released in 2011, “Page 1: ANATOMY OF INSANE” is widely regarded as a masterpiece that left a permanent mark on the Japanese music landscape. This debut album was built with 100% purity, featuring no outside producers or guest appearances, showcasing a sound only SIMI LAB could create. The album includes the group’s signature tracks such as “Uncommon” and “Show Off”. For this new release, the album will be presented as a 2-LP set, complete with an obi strip and a lyric sheet.

Page 2: Mind Over Matter – The Evolutionary Sequel

Following years of active solo projects, festival appearances, and lineup changes—including the addition of DJ ZAI and RIKKI—the group reunited in 2014 for “Page 2: Mind Over Matter”. This second album expanded their sonic palette, featuring avant-garde tracks produced by OMSB, Hi’Spec, and MUJO-kun, as well as a special saxophone performance by jazz musician Naruyoshi Kikuchi. The record features the fan-favorite track “Avengers”. Like the first volume, this release will also be a limited edition 2-LP set with an obi strip.

Both albums feature striking cover artwork designed by MA1LL, who is also a member of the group. These vinyl editions are strictly limited presses, making them essential collector’s items for fans of Japanese hip-hop.
