般若 (Hannya) Return in ABEMA’s MOGURA with Pxrge Trxxxper

MOGURA (警視庁麻薬取締課 MOGURA −黒トクリュウ潜入捜査 – Metropolitan Police Department Narcotics Control Division MOGURA) streams on ABEMA on December 23 at 9 PM, with all six episodes available at once and free to watch. It follows MOGURA, which aired in winter 2025 and drew strong responses in Japan and abroad. The teaser is on ABEMA. The full series drops December 23 at 9 PM.

Writer and screenwriter Suzuki Osamu produced the drama, based on a true story 漢 a.k.a. GAMI (Kan a.k.a. GAMI) told him. The subject is an anonymous, fluid criminal group, a “tokuryu”, that recruits young people through illegal job offers. 般若 (Hannya) returns in his season 1 role as rapper and ex-police officer Izanagi Shokichi. Pxrge Trxxxper, 19, won RAPSTAR 2025 after coming back through the losers’ bracket, and co-leads his first acting role: he plays Legion, a young rapper trying to escape poverty through music who gets pulled into crime.

The interview ABEMA published between the two shows the generational and trajectory gap clearly: Pxrge Trxxxper watched Freestyle Dungeon with his father as a teenager, and is now working on the same set as Hannya. He says Jin Dogg and Red Eye gave him advice during the shoot. Hannya, for his part, talks about the responsibility of being at the top of a highly visible project, and what it means to hold a line when rap is being watched more closely than before.
