G2Swing Drops “NERVES Day 3” with ISH-ONE and Tepa Roucci

G2Swing, a French beatmaker and director, releases “NERVES (Day 3) feat. ISH-ONE & Tepa Roucci” on October 20, with the video dropping on YouTube the same day. It’s the third chapter of the Haneda Project, a series of eight clips recorded and shot in Thailand, with G2Swing handling production, direction, editing, and color grading throughout.

The Haneda Project

The Haneda Project is G2Swing’s framework for building a coherent series of collaborations with Japanese rappers outside the usual circuits. Thailand as a filming location isn’t incidental. It’s neutral ground, away from the visual codes of standard Japanese rap, and it gives the clips a distinct identity. “NERVES (Day 3)” is shot at a shooting range in Pattaya, a setting that fits the title: tension, precision, something that could go either way.

ISH-ONE and Tepa Roucci

ISH-ONE and Tepa Roucci are two artists RJHH has followed closely. ISH-ONE has been a consistent presence in the Japanese rap underground for twenty years, a name that comes up every time the conversation turns to writing quality and longevity in the scene. Tepa Roucci was first covered by RJHH under the name Teparouchimi in 2019. He committed fully to rap after spending several years in Uganda, a trajectory that partly explains why his presence on a French project like the Haneda Project fits naturally with what he’s been building.

G2Swing’s production on this track is Jersey Club: fast kicks, bouncing rhythms, sharp bass. That’s not the natural register for either ISH-ONE or Tepa Roucci, and that’s exactly what makes the collaboration worth hearing: two rappers rooted in Japanese boom bap holding their ground on a beat that doesn’t sound like them.
