Andre & NAOtheLAIZA Release One-Take EP Genesis

September 30, 2026 | Tokyo, Japan | Team RJHH

Andre and NAOtheLAIZA release the EP Genesis on September 30. Andre is a rapper and member of the Nagoya-based crew and label D.R.C. NAOtheLAIZA is a producer and engineer. It’s their first project under a shared name.

The recording method is central to the project: the two worked in “one-make” sessions, meaning they built the beat and rap simultaneously, in the same take, with no overdubs or corrections. NAOtheLAIZA built the sound while Andre rapped live on top of it, and they kept whatever came out. That approach removes any possibility of refinement after the fact and gives the EP a texture a conventional recording wouldn’t have.
