Sonsi and STUTS Release "BBA Spice,"

Sonsi, a finalist on RAPSTAR 2025, releases “BBA Spice” on July 29, under a double-name credit with STUTS. The track was written and performed during the show, where it drew a strong response. This version adds what wasn’t there before: STUTS rearranged the production, handled the mixdown, and a second verse that never aired has been added.

Sonsi launched with a debut album ニセモノ (Nisemono), produced by Koshy, known for his work with 千葉雄喜 (Chiba Yuki) and Watson. His first solo show at Spotify O-EAST sold out quickly. What got attention on RAPSTAR 2025 was the directness of his writing: “BBA Spice” is about his grandmother, with whom he still lives, told without sentiment to fill the gaps. The second verse changes the track. It’s not a remix or a repackage; it’s a more complete version of a song that had already hit a nerve. STUTS isn’t just lending his name to a streaming release; the production has been rebuilt around what Sonsi was doing on that stage. Sonsi is also joining Watson’s live house tour this summer, alongside his own ongoing club tour.
