Disry Drops “TRUE RELIGION”, Lead Single From Second Album Produced by DJ FRIP Beatlab

Disry releases “TRUE RELIGION” on September 9, with the video dropping at 8 PM the same day. It’s the first single from his second album, currently in production, with full production handled by DJ FRIP a.k.a Beatlab.

Disry is a rapper from Ehime Prefecture in the Shikoku region and represents the “4THCOAST” banner. He picked up the mic at 16, won the ULTIMATE MC BATTLE Shikoku qualifier in 2014, 2017, and 2018, then relocated to Okinawa in 2017 after meeting MuKuRo and 唾奇 (Daiki). He released four EPs and mini-albums there, held his first solo shows in 2022, and moved his base to the Kanto region in 2023. His debut album I AM came out in 2025, following the joint EP Chase with KIKUMARU and the co-album WARENARI with MuKuRo.

“TRUE RELIGION” maps where he stands now. The first album gave him a different kind of freedom in how he works, and this single carries that feeling. DJ FRIP, a.k.a. Beatlab’s production, rebuilds the 2000s hip-hop sound from a current angle: heavy and direct, with boom bap density and the precision of someone who knows these codes from the inside. The result is a street anthem that isn’t trying to appeal broadly but says something specific about how Disry understands staying true: in the music, the style, the day-to-day.

KOBE directs the video, with Sojiro Hirai on camera and SKYWALKER handling edit and color. Everyone in the video wears TRUE RELIGION clothing, the brand that defined B-BOY style in the 2000s. DJ FRIP, BASH da RIPPA, and DJ KEN WATANABE appear as friends. The final scene is shot at GROW AROUND, the Shibuya shop that has been part of Tokyo’s street culture for years.
