KOJOE announces his solo show “ORGANIZED CONFUSION” at WWW in Shibuya on Sunday, December 6. Tickets went on sale via the official first-come pre-sale on September 3.

KOJOE was born in Niigata and grew up in Queens, NY. He went to the US as a teenager, started his career in the New York hip-hop scene, and signed with independent label RAWKUS in 2007, appearing on Rawkus 50 Mixtape Vol.1, an unusual achievement for an Asian rapper at the time. After the label shut down, he returned to Japan in 2009 and built his own position in the scene through bilingual rap that moved freely between Japanese and English, melodic vocals, and a flow shaped by years in US hip-hop culture.

His collaborations run wide. On the international side: Talib Kweli, Styles P, and Raekwon. On the Japanese side: 5lack, ISSUGI, Senninsho, SEEDA, BES, FEBB, OMSB, Awich, Daichi Yamamoto, Campanella, BudaMunk, OLIVE OIL, Aaron Choulai and ¥ellow Bucks, among many others. His 2017 album here brought most of that network into one record and remains the clearest document of his reach. The 2020s have continued in the same direction: uh huh with beatmaker 1Co.INR in 2025, NICETY with MuKuRo and LazyWii, a remix appearance on Daichi Yamamoto’s “Summertime Freestyle ’25,” and South Park Farm East Development with Blooky Jeeky in 2026.

Beyond his own output, KOJOE runs J.Studio, a recording and production hub with bases in Tokyo, Osaka, Okinawa and Yamaguchi. The network connects MONJU, Tha Jointz, MuKuRo, LazyWii, BUPPON, 1Co.INR and others. He produces and engineers for the next generation of artists alongside his own releases, which makes J.Studio less a label in the conventional sense and more a working infrastructure for the scenes around it.

The WWW show will cover his full career arc, from early tracks to recent work. It’s a solo set by someone with nearly 20 years of releases behind him and an active present.
