IO Announces Solo Show at Yoyogi

IO will play at the National Yoyogi Indoor Gymnasium (国立代々木競技場 第一体育館 / Kokuritsu Yoyogi Kyogijo Dai-Ichi Taiikukan) on Thursday, January 14, 2027. It’s his biggest solo venue to date. The show is called BACK IN BLUE. An EP of the same name is due before the end of the year, ahead of the concert. Tickets with a bonus DVD (IN IN THE DAY Vol.3) went on first-come, first-served sale from August 27 at 8 PM.

At the same time, the video for his recent single “Calling Back feat. Tete (Prod. GooDee)“, released in July, is now online. Directed by Ken Haraki, who also directed the previous clip “Follow Me.” Both IO and Tete appear on screen. The track is produced by GooDee, a producer who moves regularly through the current Japanese rap scene.

IO has been building a solid position in Japanese rap since his debut. This summer, he toured with Tete and SWEE as part of the VERETTA TOUR, and appeared at several events including the VALLAD show alongside Kaneee, Ryohu and others. The Yoyogi First Gym holds around 10,000 in concert configuration. Choosing it as the setting for his first show at that capacity, backed by an EP, points in a clear direction: IO is building on the momentum the summer tour generated. The organizer is VERETTA SOUNDS, the same collective behind the VERETTA TOUR. Tickets are available on e+, all seats are reserved, with or without the bonus DVD depending on the sale tier.
